Movement of brotherly, sisterly and prayer life that started after the publishing of "Au coeur des masses" in 1950 by Father Voillaume, the first Little Brother of Jesus. He organizes various retrats and meeting that originates the first groups in about 1951-1952.

 

The Lay Fraternity gathers men and women of all orogins, social groups, situations in life, who, following Brother Charles, want to evise their lifes in small groups of Fraternity, being helped by prayer, the Gospel and eucharistic worship.

 

According to Brother Charles'inspiration, the Fraternity members are required to live again the mystery of Nazareth :

• Look for the presence of the incarnated Son of God at all times
• Reveal the Gospel by the way of life
• Stand by the poor who are like Christ living in the world
• Look for universal communion and friendship withh all the churches, religions and peoples of the world.

To that they try to base their life on Jesus Christ, to meditate the texts of Brother Charles, to live a simple life, to see a brother and sister to be loved in every single man and woman, to support each other in fraternities thanks to a strong friendship consisting of affection and demand and to maintain periods of prayer and desert.

 

Every local Fraternity organizes its own frequency and style of meeting : on diocesean, national basis a retreat per year to various style. On European basis, European family holiday every 2 years following the meeting of European delegates. On international basis, the meeting of the delegates every 6 years.
